Tag hinzufügen | Zusammenfassung: | Heart failure is a multifactorial disease that affects a large part of the population today and has several comorbidities that could affect the course of the disease in those who suffer from it, and the presence of anemia is one of them. Objective: To analyze anemia as a prognostic factor of heart failure in adult patients by means of a systematic review for timely diagnosis. Methods: A systematic review of the literature was carried out by collecting data in meta - search engines such as Epistemonikos, which allowed the compilation of several sources of information on the subject. Results: It was described that the presence of anemia in heart failure with reduced ejection fraction increases the number of hospitalizations and the rate of cardiovascular death if it is not diagnosed and treated in a timely manner. Conclusion: HF with reduced LVEF and the presence of anemia aggravates the disease, affecting people's quality of life and treatment with intravenous iron could help patients with the presence of this comorbidity which is very frequent. |
