Objective: To provide an updated review of the principal neurological manifestations in patients infected with COVID-19 for accurate diagnosis and treatment. Methods: A descriptive study was conducted through a literature review, focusing primarily on analyzing recent scientific literature related to the issue, using as a bais the PRISMA guidelines for the methodology. Results: The SARS-COV-2 virus, due to its neurotropism and the impact it has on each patient's body, can affect the nervous system, leading to various manifestations in both the central and peripheral nervous system. Conclusion: This study offered valuable insights into the principal neurological manifestations present in COVID-19 infected patients and the impact of SARS-COV-2 on the nervous system. |

Objetivo: Realizar una revisión actualizada de las principales manifestaciones neurológicas en pacientes contagiados por Covid-19 para su adecuado diagnóstico y tratamiento. Métodos: Se llevó a cabo un estudio con enfoque descriptivo mediante revisión bibliográfica con predominio en el análisis de literatura científica actualizada acerca de la problemática en cuestión, tomando las directrices PRISMA para la metodología como base. Resultados: El virus SARS-COV-2 debido a su neurotropismo y al estado que provoca en el organismo de cada paciente puede llegar a afectar el sistema nervioso, provocando una serie de manifestaciones a nivel del sistema nervioso central y periférico.
