| Summary: | The present investigation was developed in the facilities of the Hospital Manuel Ygnacio Monteros Valdivieso of the city of Loja-Ecuador, in the Orthopedic and Traumatology Service of the institution, under the authorization of the immediate authority. From the professional perspective, the external consultation and that of emergency of the hospitals has a high index of patients with knee pain that is determined in a dysfunction meniscal after respective valuation; impression that I have maintained it during my 3 years of as medical student of the specialty of Orthopedics and Traumatology. The objective outlined in view of the demand of the patients consultation with this pathology and to who many of the times are requested complementary radiology exam, it was exactly to analyze the value that has one of the exams requested most often, the Magnetic Nuclear Resonance (MNR) and to compare it with the definitive carried out treatment, the Arthroscopic Surgery of Knee. To be able to complete the proposed objective, I was carried out a prospective investigation, in which I was used a lot of measures to be able to establish the population to study (entirety of patient). The result of the investigation in which is reflected the entirety of the same ones was that taking inside into account the 3 parameters in which we have compared the Magnetic Nuclear Resonance in front of the Arthroscopic Surgery of Knee; that is to say, the lesion type, localization of the lesion in the anatomy of the meniscus (previous horn, body and later horn) and that meniscus is affected; the average of dependability of diagnosis of MNR is of 50% in front of the one 92.59% of Arthroscopic Surgery in the Hospital Manuel Ygnacio Monteros Valdivieso of the city of Loja. |
