| Gaia: | The present study addresses the importance of workplace climate and its influence on employee performance within "Joyería GAIA," located in the city of Loja. Recognizing the significance of an optimal work environment for organizational success, this research aims to evaluate how various dimensions measured as workplace climate variables impact employee performance (productivity) within the company or organization; and, based on this, to obtain outcome indicators that allow for resource management decisions to improve both workplace climate and individual and collective performance. The analysis is based on a quantitative-qualitative approach, for which a comprehensive survey (census) was conducted with all company employees, considering key aspects of organizational climate, such as internal communication, interpersonal relationships, organizational structure, motivation, professional development, and recognition and promotion. Additionally, job performance was assessed through specific indicators such as work quality, responsibility, organizational commitment, and leadership and teamwork. The research results reveal that the majority of employees consider the company's workplace climate to be positive, particularly in terms of internal communication and recognition, which stand out as determining factors for good performance measured as a results variable. However, significant areas for improvement were also identified, especially concerning interpersonal relationships and organizational structure, where some employees expressed dissatisfaction. The organizational structure, in particular, was highlighted as a factor that, due to its rigidity, could be limiting the efficient workflow and the flexibility needed to adapt to environmental changes. Another important finding of the study is the direct and significant relationship between workplace climate and employee performance. Employees who find a positive and supportive work environment tend to show greater commitment, responsibility, and quality in their work. This underscores the importance of investing in a positive workplace climate, not only as a matter of well-being but as a key strategy to improve productivity and service quality. Based on these results, a series of recommendations has been made to strengthen the workplace climate at "Joyería GAIA," including the need to improve internal communication, foster healthier 5 interpersonal relationships, review and make the organizational structure more flexible, and optimize professional training and development programs. It is suggested that the company implement these recommendations progressively, focusing on active employee participation to ensure that the proposed improvements align with the needs and expectations of the staff. In conclusion, this research underscores the importance of workplace climate as a key determinant of performance within the context of "Joyería GAIA." By addressing identified areas for improvement and enhancing existing strengths, the company can not only improve employee performance but also increase its competitiveness in the market. In this way, the findings and recommendations of this study are expected to serve as a foundation for future human talent management strategies within the organization. |
