| Sumari: | This thesis consists on the calculation and design of a jaw crusher machine, the machine consists mainly of two jaws (fixed and mobile) and an eccentric shaft guided by a trapezoidal belt driven by a motor of 5.5 Hp, the rotation of the eccentric shaft causes that the movable jaw move away and approximates to the fixed jaw so that in that instant the shock of the stone occurs between the jaws thus achieving the crushing. The crushed product will depend on how close or far the mobile jaw will be in relation with the fixed, this length adjustment is obtained due to coupling of a connecting rod in the bottom of the movable jaw also govern the space between jaws, it helps to withstand the impact when the stone is crushed. Further comprising a positioning stem that helps the rod to not leave the workplace at the time that the mobile jaw get closer to the fixed one, considering that the mobile jaw gets closer and moves away from the fixed jaw 150 times per minute. The calculations were basically based on getting the dimensions of the main elements of the machine, to obtain the diameter of the eccentric shaft, the method of sections and the shear stress hypothesis or Mohr method was used, and to calculate and size the rest of the main elements of the machine equations of normal and shear stresses were used. |
