Тойм:Helicobacter pylori has become one of the most serious and important problems currently, causing diseases such as gastritis and ulcers, coming often to cause cancer, for this reason and due to the lack of studies in our city about the determination of non-invasive diagnostic techniques for its detection, the present investigation was carried out since there is no concrete data of which technique presents greater sensitivity and specificity in the determination of Helicobacter pylori. The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity and specificity between immunochromatography and ELISA methods for detecting fecal Helicobacter pylori in patients attending the Hospital outpatient service Dophner Julius. The study was correlational and cross-sectional in 75 patients who participated voluntarily. In the immunoassay sensitivity it was obtained 56% and 100% specificity, and the ELISA test sensitivity 100% and specificity 94%. According to the results obtained by Chi Square test can be deduced that the method is highly sensitive ELISA and immunochromatographic much more specific for the determination of Helicobacter pylori in faeces and valid method being sufficiently high driveability tests.
