Izvleček:The present investigation titled: THE ENHANCEMENT OF LEARNING STYLES AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT IN MONSIGNOR JORGE GUILLERMO ARMIJOS THE HIGH SCHOOL CHILDREN OF THE MUNICIPAL SCHOOL OF DE LA CIUDAD DE LOJA, ACADEMIC PERIOD 2018-2019, The general objective was: To analyze learning styles and their influence on cognitive development in high school children this qualitative research was participatory, in which the researchers were directly related to the investigated subjects. The literature review addressed two topics: learning styles and cognitive development, the methods were used: scientific, inductive, deductive, descriptive and analytical-synthetic. The techniques and instruments used were: the survey that was applied to five teachers, the observation sheet and the assessment scale taken from the areas of the 2016 High School Curriculum of the Ministry of Education, which was applied to a total of twenty-one children who made up the total population investigated. The results found during the research process demonstrated that the enhancement of learning styles in cognitive development was the most optimal for improving the learning of high school children. The following results were obtained in the observation form, a 58% score in learning styles and in the assessment scale, in most areas the results were similar to 82% in the indicator. The application of the proposal alternates benefit to the enhancement of the learning styles of the students in their cognitive development, benefiting the logical-mathematical relationships where there was a decline in knowledge.
