This research makes reference: "QUALITY OF CARE FROM THE STAFF DOCTOR AND OF NURSING TO PATIENTS GERIATRIC HOSPITALIZED IN THE SERVICES OF MEDICINE INTERNAL AND SURGERY OF THE HOSPITAL REGIONAL ISIDRO AYORA OF LOJA". Being its main objective determine that perception of quality of care provided by medical staff and nurses, have geriatric inpatients in such services. To expire with this, a prospective investigation was implemented and trasversal, carried out in 58 major adult patients hospitalized in the Services of Internal Medicine and Surgery of the regional Hospital Isidro Ayora, by means of the application a survey for information compilation. Is he came to the conclusion that: 41% of users have a good perception of the quality of attention despite the shortfall of existing staff and resources. Referring to the warmth in the service, the 38% indicated that this is always provided and the 14% noted that was not effected. In regard to the satisfaction of the warmth and quality received in the attention, it was found that 35% felt very satisfied, and 36% showed a slight satisfaction. Reflexionar sobre los prejuicios que podamos tener y mejorar nuestra formación sobre el mismo nos ayudara a cuestionar nuestros hábitos y a mejorar el trato de las personas mayores que atendemos. La obligación de cuidar compete a todos los profesionales capacitados de las casas de salud; este cuidado implica brindar atención humana y científicamente adecuada, ponerse en la piel del otro, explorar sus emociones, escucharle, conocer qué piensa, cubrir sus necesidades y mejorar su problema de salud. Esta investigación hace referencia: “CALIDAD DE ATENCIÓN POR PARTE DEL PERSONAL MÉDICO Y DE ENFERMERIA A PACIENTES GERIATRICOS HOSPITALIZADOS EN LOS SERVICIOS DE MEDICINA INTERNA Y CIRUGÍA DEL HOSPITAL REGIONAL ISIDRO AYORA DE LOJA”. Siendo su objetivo principal el determinar que percepción de calidad de atención brindada por parte del personal médico y de enfermería, tienen los pacientes geriátricos hospitalizados en dichos servicios. Para cumplir con esto, se implementó una investigación prospectiva y transversal, llevada a cabo en 58 pacientes adultos mayores hospitalizados en los Servicios de Medicina Interna y Cirugía del Hospital Regional Isidro Ayora, mediante la aplicación de una encuesta para recopilación de información. Se llegó a concluir que: el 41% de usuarios tienen una percepción buena de la calidad de atención a pesar del déficit de personal y recursos existentes. Refiriéndose a la calidez en el servicio, el 38% indicó que ésta siempre se proporcionaba y el 14% notó que no se efectuaba. En cuanto a la satisfacción de la calidad y calidez recibidas en la atención, se obtuvo que el 35% se sintió muy satisfecho, y el 36% mostró una leve satisfacción.
