Evaluar el nivel de cumplimiento de los estandares para la práctica de la anestesiología en los hospitales Isidro Ayora y Manuel Ygnacio Montero de la ciudad de Loja, en el periodo de noviembre 2010 mayo 2011.

Anesthesiology is the branch of medicine that specializes in medical care of patients undergoing medical or surgical procedures, unconsciousness, insensitivity to pain, emotional stress or combination thereof, produced by the administration of pharmacological substances. It is dedicated to the care and protection of all vital systems in order to maintain the homeostasis of the human organism. The responsibility of the medical specialist in anesthesiology includes the study and evaluation prior to the administration of anesthesia, selection procedure less risk in every situation, correct and timely implementation of the drug and patient permanently marketing surveillance of trans -operative condition of the patient to post- anesthesia recovery. The anesthetic care is a process involving three pre anesthetic, anesthetic trans - stages, and post -anesthetic, you should document it to reflect compliance. The study seeks to assess the technical criteria and procedures to be observed for the practice of anesthesiology and the minimum requirements to be met by professionals and establishments where this specialty is practiced in hospitals and Manuel Isidro Ayora Ygnacio Montero through a retrospective study. According to medical records is evidence that in both hospitals preanesthetics procedures are met and that compliance with standards transanestesico not met in full. Generally in the two hospitals meet the standards of pre-anesthetic care, but not in transanesthetic monitoring (ETCO2 parameters and TOF).
