Zusammenfassung:Burnout syndrome is a syndrome characterized by the involvement of people in three areas emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment, directly affecting the professional performance of individuals and how users perceive. The overall objective was to evaluate the presence of burnout syndrome in teachers career of Medicine of the National University of Loja during period March - July 2015. The purpose was to determine the prevalence by gender, stressors and symptoms that occur most often teachers of the Medicine of the National University of Loja during period March - July 2015. This study was qualitative, descriptive - cross, for the same teachers who worked during the period March were selected - in July 2015, With a sample of 77 participants Symptomatic Stress Scale is applied, the Teacher Stress Inventory and Maslach Burnout Inventory, the following results in the male gender was obtained 46.34% have a low degree of Burnout, of the three areas assessed, the 68.83% have emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and 41.55% 9.09% reduced personal accomplishment. It concluding that teachers are affected in all three areas according to Maslach Burnout Inventory and according to Teacher Stress Inventory a high level of perceived stress, which can lead to developing future Burnout Syndrome.
