Zusammenfassung:The present Curricular Integration Work had the objective of determining how Physical Education contributes to the development of speed in tenth-grade students at Miguel Riofrio Basic Education School. It was a quantitative study of a correlational nature with a quasi-experimental design. Various speed tests were administered to a sample of 13 students. The results of the 60-meter Pre-Test indicate that 84,62% of the students exhibit a deficient level. In the Letwin Pre-Test, 38.46% are in a deficient level, and in the Tapping Pre-Test, 92.31% show a deficient level. Based on these findings, a program of physical exercise was implemented, structured into 25 micro-curricular plans, totaling 33 hours, with the purpose of developing speed in tenth-grade students during physical education classes. After carrying out the physical exercise program, the results of the 60-meter Post-Test reveal that 76.92% of the students achieved a regular result. In the Letwin Post-Test, 23% of students reached an excellent level, while 53.85% achieved a regular level. Regarding the Tapping Post-Test, 69.23% attained a regular level, and 30.77% an excellent level. In conclusion, in the Pre-Tests, the majority of students demonstrated a deficient level in measuring their speed, as they were unable to reach the expected benchmarks for their grade level. After implementing the physical exercise program, there was a decrease in the times recorded in their marks during the Post-Test, with a predominantly regular level. This demonstrates that the physical exercise program contributed to the development of speed in tenth-grade students. Keywords: Physical Education, Physical Abilities, Physical Test, Speed
