Achoimre:Urinary tract infections during pregnancy have become a public health problem that affects the whole society, not only in our country but around the world; in the Ecuador has been determined, according to the ministry of public health, that asymptomatic bacteriuria can present complications during pregnancy, therefore it is of great importance to diagnose and treat since the appearance of asymptomatic bacteriuria in these patients. This present work had the overall objective to determine obstetric complications in the first period of pregnant teenagers, who were attended at the Isidro Ayora Hospital, during the period March-August 2015; and as specific objectives: 1. To determine the frequency of pregnant adolescents who present Urinary Tract Infection in their first period of pregnancy by clinical laboratory; 2. To know obstetric complications in the mew pregnant adolescents; 3. To discuss the results with the study group. In this research, a descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional and retrospective study whose universe was 77 pregnant women, obtaining a sample of 64 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria; a sheet of data collection was developed by the author; obtaining the following results; frequency of pregnant women with urinary tract infection diagnosed laboratory with 83%; threatened abortion 42% and the threatened preterm labor 28%, as complications. After the research the results d socialize with the group study to knowledge of the complications that can occur during pregnancy. May reduce the incidence of urinary tract infections in these pregnant women, if these women timely antenatal checks are carried out; to avoid future complications for both the mother and the new person; however, that role belongs to doctor who has to provide all information that they should know and accomplish for the maternal-neonatal benefit; therefore, a suitable future can be guaranteed to the new person.
