| Özet: | The present work of curricular integration was developed to evaluate the importance of strength exercises for the improvement of body aesthetics in adults between 30 and 40 years old from the Total Flex gymnasium in the city of Loja, 2023-2024; the research used a mixed approach, of correlational type and a quasi-experimental design. Instruments were used before, during and after the research, on a sample of 4 participants. According to the results obtained after applying the diagnostic instruments, there is evidence of overweight in the chosen sample, based on the BMI and anthropometric measurements. As well as a lack of planning in their training taking into account some of the training principles such as individualization, progression, rest, recovery and specificity. After these results, a training plan based on strength exercises was applied to improve the body aesthetics of the participants. Subsequently, in the post-test of anthropometric measurements, an improvement in the BMI was evidenced, reflecting the loss of weight and reaching the appropriate weight, as well as an increase in muscle mass taken by the circumference measurements and a loss of body fat taken by the different skin folds. It is concluded that the weight indexes of the participants in the pre-test were not adequate, and after the training plan with strength exercises was implemented, these measures and percentages of weight and skin folds could be reduced, which indicates that the strength exercise plan improves body aesthetics.
