Résumé:This research entitled : METHODOLOGICAL STRATEGIES IN THE AREA OF SOCIAL SCIENCES BY TEACHERS AND SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON LEARNING IN THE 5TH YEAR STUDENTS OF BASIC EDUCATION SCHOOL ZOILA ASTUDILLO CITY Loja 2012-2013, is focused on teaching and learning processes , which must be transmitted in a systematic way , the methodological strategies to develop meaningful learning, where the purpose is included to obtain lines of action to develop , research results and work done , still needed to be individually or in groups. This was raised as a general objective : to investigate the approaches in the area of Social Sciences to develop meaningful learning in students the 5th year Basic Education School Zoila Astudillo city of Loja period 2012-2013 , which is outlined between main ideas and supporting each student to develop their interest and concentration. To develop the present work some methods there were used such: scientific, deductive, inductive, analytical, synthetic and descriptive as general orientation within all the research process. The techniques used were the survey and knowledge test. The populations studied were two teachers from the 5TH year, 43 students between the parallel A and B, so it shed and give an alternative solution to the object under study, also to make findings and recommendations. To obtain the results of the field investigation and compared with theory, it is found that the teachers do not handle clear conceptions of methodological strategies to develop meaningful learning. Among the key findings is evidence that the approaches are not fully diversified, so you cannot achieve meaningful learning. This is recommended for managers to conduct training for teachers on diversification of methodological strategies and operationalization.
