Streszczenie:Currently young people have the right to adequate reproductive health, but this is not always accompanied by knowledge, attitudes and practices regarding sexuality and contraception, as has been shown in other studies; Carrying out this research is essential, since it will allow obtaining up-to-date and socially relevant results, from which policies can be implemented to promote health, safe sexuality and the prevention of teenage pregnancies. Our study aimed to identify the level of knowledge, describe the attitude and identify the level of practices and use of contraceptive methods in adolescents of the third year of high school of the Adolfo Valarezo Educational Unit in the city of Loja, during the period of September 2021. to June 2022. The research is descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional and prospective. The study was carried out in all third-year high school adolescents from the Adolfo Valarezo Educational Unit, who met the inclusion criteria, whose universe and sample was 217 students, where we applied the CAP Test, whose results were that only (1.4%) of adolescents had a good level of knowledge, the attitude of adolescents towards contraceptive methods was favorable (99.5%) and the level of practices and use of contraceptive methods was good (62.7 %). With these data we conclude that the level of knowledge and attitude towards contraceptive methods of the adolescents evaluated do not condition the level of practices and use of contraceptive methods
