| Sumario: | In the canton of Loja, located in the south of Ecuador, a study was conducted, it was entitled "Determination of the compressive strength and durability of machine pressed adobe in relation to building agricultural infrastructures in the rural parish of Chuquiribamba". This research was carried out on behalf of the Agricultural Engineering Career in the National University of Loja. Its objective was to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life in the population of the aforementioned sector. The research methods used were: Descriptive and Experimental, as the study required the diagnosis of rural agricultural infrastructures that have active members of the Association of Craft Processing Primary Producers "Flowers" from Chuquiribamba. This phase revealed the importance of using earth in construction and the undertaking of a technical study so as be able to classify this raw material. Subsequently, the experimental design was structured using the Multitable Model in a hexagon form, with variations in the percentages of clay and water, in order to identify the influence which the clay has on the adobe press machine, the advantages and disadvantages plus the costs of this type of construction. The results of the investigation provide data of great importance that should encourage people to continue with the study of alternative building materials, where the benefits of agricultural infrastructure can be seen. |
