| Achoimre: | The present research work has as main objective determine the female leadership in the business sector in Francisco de Orellana Canton with the purpose to generate real data which let us to be a bibliographic resource for future researchers. The motivation to carry out this investigative work is based in searching how much participation do the women have in high positions inside the business sector. Besides, to determine the perception that the subordinate employees have about the female leadership inside the business field. To develop this research work I use the following methodology, basically , as investigative tool I used the descriptive method which was applied to define , classify and characterize de study object, in this case the female leadership in the business sector and its reality in Francisco de Orellana Canton; supported with the statistic information to the tabulation, analysis and interpretation of the results. In addition, I used the inductive method to the application of the research for its characteristic about the analysis of facts to support the knowledge and understanding of the reality of women in the role of female leadership within the business sector, then interpret their reality obtained through the information, it also served to raise the base line of the number of existing companies, which were 4732 factories used to study in the current year. I applied surveys focus on managers of micro, small, medium and large factories, corresponding to a sample of 355 managers, this process helped us to obtain information about how many women are working in high positions as managers; with the applied survey was obtained that 88 women are leading companies and 276 companies are led by male gender, it represents a percentage of 24.79% and 75.21% respectively. Additionally, I could apply the questionnaire of Medellano 2005 about the perception of female leadership, I obtained answers of 88 female and male subordinate employees about the perception of female leadership exercised in companies, obtaining the perception degree from the subordinates, it is high, due to the most of responses obtained from subordinates in the evaluated areas: communication between manager / workers and vice verse, level of participation in decision-making, information reliability and teamwork, were located in the up range that goes from 76 to 100 points of the qualitative and quantitative rating, according to the Likert scale. |
