Aggiungi Tag | Riassunto: | Preventive computer maintenance consists of carrying out a series of periodic activities on the PC to ensure optimal and efficient performance during its operation. These tasks are essential to ensure proper equipment performance. This research diagnoses the preventive maintenance of Hardware and Software applied in the computer laboratories of the fiscal and fiscomissionary educational institutions of the Saraguro canton, academic year 2022-2023. The methodology developed is in line with the Academic Regime Regulations, Article 216 of the National University of Loja of the year 2021. It was carried out based on the deductive method with a quantitative approach of exploratory-descriptive scope, with a cross-sectional study and non-experimental type of research. The specific population considered are 6 educational institutions, where there is a responsible person for the laboratories of each institution. A bibliographic review was carried out in different documents from repositories, as well as from indexed databases and scientific research, allowing the construction of a research instrument that was applied using the survey technique to the laboratory managers who were part of the research. A flow chart was constructed that details the preventive maintenance process to be carried out on a computer. It was established that of the 6 fiscal and fisco-missionary educational institutions of the Saraguro canton investigated, three fisco-missionary institutions and one fiscal institution have at least one computer laboratory, while two other fiscal institutions lack them. It is determined that the institutions that have computer laboratories carry out the preventive maintenance process, both hardware and software, on the equipment, thus ensuring their optimal performance and functionality, extending the useful life of the equipment.
