| Резюме: | This research aims, the pondostatural assessment by the growth curves according to WHO Children Gurudel schools Canton Saraguro and its relationship to the educational level of their carers, in the period 2014- 2015. It is study cuali-cuantitativo, correlational, prospective, cross-sectional in they participed that 73 pupils of 2 schools the Gurudel between 5-10 years. Following the anthropometric measurement of each school nutritional status it was assessed by WHO curves with the following results: it showed that of the total population 55% were located in the P <3 (underweight), of which 30 % are girls and is prevalent among younger ages 5-7 years with 32%. With regard to size indicator percentile greatest impact is the P <3 (low height) with 52% of the total population, being higher in girls with 31% and appearing between the ages 5-7 years 27%. In addition to BMI it concludes that most of these schools have poor nutritional status, classified as children (as) in malnutrition that affects this population whose study appeared in steeper and girls ages 5-7 years . Alarming numbers of school leavers caregivers was obtained, as follows, 44% incomplete primary, 37% illiteracy,and only attended the 1% upper level.
