Sammanfattning:This project aims to design and implement a network of sensors with LoRa technology, in order to monitor the main air pollutants in the city of Loja. Starting from the research and evaluation of LoRa technology, both in its structure, protocol and operation, the design and implementation of the mentioned network can be carried out. This network contains different IoT components, hardware (sensors) and software (cloud storage), which will be used for the development and visualization of data, the information will be displayed through a web platform. In this way, it contributes to the project of turning the city of Loja into a Smart City. With the above, the behavior of pollution will be analyzed from measurements of concentrations of Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), Ozone (O3), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter (PM), measured in percentages per million (ppm). The measurements will be taken by a network of wireless sensors located in strategic places in the city of Loja: The Terrestrial Terminal and Wholesale Market. The wireless network based on the LoRaWAN standard is made up of a sensor node (mobile prototype) and a Gateway. The sensor nodes send the data wirelessly to the Gateway, which through a Web platform (Ubidots), shows the behavior that describes the measurement and storage of information on a Web platform.
