| Zusammenfassung: | The present research work entitled “Job performance and the factors that motivate it in the Decentralized Autonomous Government of the Intercultural Canton of Saraguro, year 2024” was developed with the general objective: Of identifying the factors that influence the motivation of job performance in the Intercultural Decentralized Autonomous Government of Saraguro, to fulfill the same, the following specific objectives were formulated: Describe the current situation of the personnel, as well as establish the hierarchy of the factors that motivate work performance in the personnel and to specify, according to demographic variables, the factors that motivate the work performance of the staff of the Intercultural Decentralized Autonomous Government of Saraguro. To overcome the negative factors of the organizational climate and improve the work performance of public workers in the field of study, the present research work was exploratory and descriptive in nature because they were used jointly, the former aimed at collecting accurate data on the phenomena investigated, including characteristics, patterns and relevant relationships, and the latter to provide a detailed description of the reality and motivational factors and their impact on job performance. The research population consisted of 95 public workers, to whom two research instruments were applied: interview and survey, which were evaluated using the Likert scale. In addition, to verify the influencing factors, a statistical average of each factor was used to identify the order of the motivational factors of job performance in the Autonomous Decentralized Government of the Intercultural Canton of Saraguro, which is under the literature review and the theory of two factors or Herzberg's Bifactor or hygienic maintenance that generate dissatisfaction at work and the motivational factors that generate commitment to work. |
