In this sense, it is set by the demand of a consumer sector. The purpose of this research was to: identify the environmental, productive, and commercialization characteristics of the food legume germplasm available for the implementation of a seed program in the El Chaupi community, Loja canton. Thus, in this research the technique of observation and application of structured surveys was used. Likewise, they were applied to the producers of the "El Chaupi Community Association", who are willing to produce seeds and to the producers of legumes from the valleys of Malacatos, Vilcabamba, of the Loja canton. El Tambo, La Vega of the Catamayo canton, to know the demand for seeds of food legumes. The seed production plant in Chaupi will be able to produce more than 2500 qq/year of legume seeds. Especially shrubby beans; standing out the varieties such as: mantequilla, blanco Imbabura, percal, blanco belen, Vilcabamba. These kinds of seeds are highly accepted in the Lojano market, for its adaptation and performance in the warm valleys of the province of Loja.
