Achoimre: | Sexual and reproductive health is defined as the full enjoyment of health of the human person in his/her physical, mental and social integrity regarding sexuality and reproductive events. This research aims to determine the knowledge of sexual and reproductive health among students in their second and third years at both “Liceo de Loja” and “Adolfo Valarezo” high schools. Using scientific methods and a type of quantitative, qualitative, prospective, descriptive, cross-sectional study; by collecting data through a questionnaire for each adolescent; it was carried out in period from May to October 2014 and included: questions about sexual and reproductive health. After tabulating and analyzing the results of the investigation it was found that: in the “Liceo de Loja” high school 80% of students have knowledge of sexual and reproductive health, in the “Adolfo Valarezo” high school there is a smaller percentage of 63.3% of adolescents with knowledge of sexual and reproductive health. At “Liceo de Loja” high school 60% of students have a greater knowledge of their sexual and reproductive rights while in the “Adolfo Valarezo” high school it was found that only 40% of teens know about their sexual and reproductive rights. The most common method of family planning among adolescents in both schools is the condom. Teens from the surveyed institutions have not presented any sexually transmitted infection.
