| Summary: | The problems that affect the low production and yield of cabbage crops are climatic factors, low soil fertility, compact soils, high incidence of pests and diseases, and not using improved seeds. To confront these situations, strategies are used, such as the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, without taking into account that these increase production costs. This work had as its objective to evaluate the growth, yield of the cabbage crop and soil properties, before and after the application of biostimulant microorganisms in the Quinta La Argelia of the National University of Loja. For the implementation of the trial, a DBCA was carried out where 5 treatments were evaluated with 5 repetitions, which consisted of: T1 (Azospirillum spp.), T2 (Azotobacter spp.), T3 (Pseudomonas spp.), T4 (Chemical fertilization) and T5 (Witness). Growth variables such as (height at transplant, percentage of attachment, plant height, number of leaves, pellet diameter, pellet weight) and yield were evaluated, in addition to soil properties. To analyze the effect of the treatments, it was evaluated using an Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) with multiple comparison tests (Tukey at 0.05%). The results obtained through the application of microorganisms were satisfactory in the cabbage crop, where they contributed to the increase in productive parameters, especially T2 which obtained the highest results in height of 35.69 cm, diameter of the pellet 69.87 cm, pellet weight 2.08 kg and a yield of 86.67 t/ha compared to the control treatment. Regarding the results obtained about the properties of the soil, it was evident that the chemical properties increased in macro and micronutrients, as well as the OM by 0.29% and CEC by 1.64 meq/100g of soil; biological properties (bacteria) also increased by 170 CFU/ml; For the physical properties, their values both in apparent density of 0.1 g/cm3, and in percentage of porosity of 3.92%, increased in relation to the initial values. |
