總結:This is a retrospective study, which was developed in the Carlos Andrade Marin Hospital, in the city of Quito, where information from a non-random sample, for convenience, of 122 patients was collected from a study population of 1277 users who were treated in the outpatient department of endocrinology, from January to December 2015. Several studies have determined that alterations in the lipid profile are conclusive in patients with clinical hypothyroidism (CH), however, this is not the case in regard to subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH), as the data presented to date are varied. Since lipid abnormalities may be able to contribute to the development of cardiovascular diseases, this study was implemented to ascertain the reality of our population by determining the relation between hypothyroidism and lipid profile. In order to achieve the aforementioned, it was necessary to identify: the group of patients diagnosed with HC and SCH, the display of alterations in the lipid profile, and the determination of the relationship between the degree of SCH and the alterations that could be present in the lipid profile. Which entailed taking as measurement parameters the values of the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), free thyroxine (FT4), total cholesterol (TC), cholesterol linked to low density lipoprotein (LDL-C), cholesterol linked to high-density lipoprotein (HDL-C) and triglycerides. All this data was compiled after reviewing patient medical records. The following conclusions were drawn: The percentage of is greater than the CH., increase in levels of CT, LDL-C, HDL-C and non-significant increase in Triglycerides levels in the CH and. In SCH grade I, there was not a significant increase of CT; HS Grade II presented an inconclusive relation with CT levels (increase of CT in 50% of patients).
