Diagnóstico de la situación actual de la explotación acuícola, en los cantones Zamora y Paquisha, provincia de Zamora Chinchipe

The present work of investigation named: " DIAGNOSIS OF THE CURRENT SITUATION OF THE AQUICULTURAL EXPLOITATION, IN THE CANTONS ZAMORA AND PAQUISHA, PROVINCE OF ZAMORA CHINCHIPE ", it is a study that was executed in order to obtain information about aspects of the productive aquicultural activity, for it I raise the following specific goals: To elaborate the map of location of the developments; To know the social reality of the aquicultural producers; To determine the structural characteristics of the aquicultural developments; To estimate the productive level of the aquicultural exploitation and To determine the demand of fries of farms and the offer of meat of fish. Within the methods and techniques applied is the technique of the survey that were 109 surveys, held the producers exist of the Zamora canton and Paquisha, which helped us to know the current situation of the exploitation of this place, as well as also the technique of observation, secondary sources. For obtaining the information was a participatory diagnosis, using half the polls, as in these issues general, socio-economic, technological and productive, were addressed as: time in production, income and expenditures, level of education, dedicated to the activity, location reference, members dimensioning, mirrors, production methods, types and volumes of water; offer and demand, productive aspects, amount of pounds produced by production unit and quantity of offered pounds towards the market, etc. The present research work as part of the "study of the situation current of the production aquaculture of the province of ZAMORA CHINCHIPE"; It provides information concerning aquaculture production in Zamora and Paquisha cantons. As result was obtained in the Zamora Canton there are 76 aquaculture, specialized in fish production, producers also found 154 farmers that keep small ponds that do not exceed 50 m2, whose main objective is the family support, mirror total water covering them is 270.920.00 m2, and the dammed water volume is 216.030.00 m3. There are 33 producers aquaculture, specialized in fish production in Canton Paquisha, there are also 93 landowners with mirrors of water less than 50m 2, for their daily sustenance, the mirror of water that cover all is 11.865.00 m2, and the dammed water volume is 8.748.00 m3. Subsequently established the proper necessary recommendations to improve the exploitation activity aquaculture in canton between featured is promoting awareness on the inhabitants to achieve assessment of riches aquaculture which has, which will lead to the economic and productive development not only at the study site, but at the national level.
