Descripció
Sumari:This research study deals with the design and construction of a CNC oxy-fuel cutting pantograph prototype for cutting steel plates of different thicknesses, providing a solution to the problem of manual cutting of different shapes and figures in this type of material. The achieved prototype mainly performs a system of combined linear movements of the cutting tool. These movements, when acting in combination, allow the cutting of different shapes eliminating the limitation of making basic figures such as rectangles, squares, circles, among others. The movement of this mechanism is achieved through the use of CNC motors in the X and Y axes of the machine tool, movement that is transmitted to the mechanism through the use of synchronous belts. The control of the machine is due to the communication between the PC and the machine tool by means of the software and data acquisition card MACH3, software that allows the generation and reading of G codes from files with ".dxf" extension. This software, through its data acquisition card, is in charge of giving the different orders to the stepper motors at the time of machining the parts. Through the tests carried out, it was observed that the machine tool captured the image loaded to the software in a satisfactory way, performing the paths requested by the operator in terms of the desired dimensions of the figure to be cut. A limitation was evidenced in the cutting times, which will depend on the thickness of the plate to be worked, reflected in the advance speed of the tool that must be calibrated by the operator through the MACH 3 before starting the machining. The prototype was built using materials and electronic equipment available in the country's market, which allowed us to make an economic evaluation of the system.
