Summary:Unemployment has been at the forefront of discussions and confrontations in the political, social, and economic spheres of Ecuador. This occurrence has compelled individuals without job opportunities to migrate in search of better living conditions. Migration encompasses various factors that prompt individuals to leave their city of origin and relocate elsewhere. This phenomenon arises due to a lack of alternatives in their current location, limited employment opportunities, low wages, insufficient coverage of basic services, among other factors. In response to this, the current interdisciplinary study was developed with the aim of conducting a juridical and doctrinal analysis of the impact of migration resulting from the lack of employment opportunities and its implications for Ecuadorian families. It is crucial to delve into the effects of economic instability on the scarcity of job opportunities and its influence on Ecuadorians migrating to other countries. Given that migration is predominantly influenced by political and economic instability, it becomes imperative to analyze the phenomenon and ascertain the impact of successive governments on this process. The growing significance of Ecuador's migratory flow to the rest of the world has attracted interest, as it exposes this phenomenon from various perspectives: social, economic, political, financial, among others. However, it is essential to note that calculations of these migratory flows are largely relative approximations. Undoubtedly, migration significantly affects the policies that the Ecuadorian state must adopt to mitigate this situation. The migratory process in Ecuador has evolved into one of the economic, political, and social challenges currently facing the country. As of 2022, approximately 1,357,642 Ecuadorian inhabitants have migrated to other countries, each with diverse reasons for migration and varying socioeconomic levels. However, the majority of migrants require attention to their unmet basic needs, particularly social and employment inclusion within the country. Therefore, this research focuses on delving into the discussion to identify the causes or factors contributing to the increased emigration of Ecuadorians to the rest of the world. This trend is evident in the migratory analysis of recent years (2018-2022), reflecting the aftermath of the financial crisis triggered by the pandemic. Subsequent years witness the consolidation 5 and expansion of Ecuadorians' migratory dynamics abroad, with heightened connections to the United States and European countries such as Spain and Italy. Linkages are established between Ecuadorian localities and new destinations, especially in Europe, despite the controls imposed by the European Border Agency.
