要約:The investigation was intended to determine the prevalence of smoking students of the Education Unit Fiscomisional "Dominic Savio" parish Seville Don Bosco. the survey technique with his instrument is the questionnaire to 45 students was used. The research design was cross-sectional, descriptive literature and field. students who smoke are 56% men and 44% are women was obtained as a result, students age 17 to 19 years is the most recorded with 48.89%. Ethnicity predominate in the consumption of snuff is mixed with 88.89%. Most are of urban origin with 67%. The prevalence was 21.84%. The amount of consumption was 1 to 3 cigarettes 58%, 4 to 6 to 29% and from 7 to 10 with 6%. The factors most important risk for cigarette smoking were to belong to the group with 80%, with 69% of curiosity, followed by 58% because they are readily available, with 57.68% for not a dialogue between parents and children on the subject and with 46.67%, by the presence of family members who smoke. As for the level of knowledge about the consequences of smoking 56% have this at a low level, 33% at medium level and 11% at a high level. It was concluded that the prevalence is high with 21.84% considering they are teens students, the factors most relevant found in research risk were that cigarette smoking is makes it belong to the group of friends, curiosity, and because they are readily available. The author conducted educational activities such as workshops, training, delivering leaflets and delivering a manual. Keywords: Prevalence, Smoking, Students.
