| Shrnutí: | Adolescent pregnancy is a critical challenge for public health and socio- educational development, negatively impacting adolescents, youth, their families and the community. The research, conducted at the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Educational Unit in Catamayo, focused on determining the factors associated with adolescent pregnancy and its impact on socio-educational development. For this reason, the study is pertinent and clear and precise objectives were established, such as the description of the socio- demographic conditions of the adolescent students who attend the educational institution, to investigate the main causes of teenage pregnancies and their impact on socio- educational development, and finally to implement a socio-educational plan for the prevention of teenage pregnancies, which will reduce the impact on their socio- educational development. Thus, the methodology used in this research is quantitative and qualitative (mixed), because surveys and interviews were applied; it was possible to determine as results that teenage pregnancy is influenced by biological, psychological, social and economic factors, and that it has significant repercussions on the physical and mental health of young women, in addition to affecting their academic performance and increasing the school dropout rate. In conclusion, the need to implement comprehensive sexual education programs, improve access to reproductive health services and provide socioemotional support to prevent teenage pregnancy and mitigate its negative effects, thus promoting a healthier and more equitable educational environment, is finally highlighted. |
