要約:The period of adolescence is a stage characterized by all the changes that take place at a physiological level, therefore, attention to their health should be prioritized, especially with regard to their diet, since nowadays they are exposed to various unhealthy foods, due to the increase in the inappropriate marketing of ultra-processed foods, fast foods and highly sweetened beverages. The objective of this research was to establish the relationship between eating habits and their influence on nutritional status, as well as the sociodemographic characteristics of adolescents in the Victoria de Imbana Parish in order to propose an educational program that contributes to the promotion and prevention of health with respect to these habits. It was a descriptive, quantitative, correlational study; the population consisted of 250 students, from which the sample consisted of 112 adolescents from 8th to 3rd year of high school, a survey was implemented based on a questionnaire, previously validated in the SPSS program. The results showed that 50.9% of the adolescents were male and 49.1% female, with a predominance of adolescents aged 14-16 years with 43.8%. With regard to the relationship between the two variables, 74.1% were of normal weight and 37.5% were of excellent eating habits. When interpreting the chi-square, it is obtained that there is no significant relationship, showing that there is no relationship between eating habits and the nutritional status of the adolescents in the different institutions
