Beskrivelse
Summary:Visual-motor coordination is the action of some part of the body coordinated by the eyes, which allows the fulfillment of almost all the daily activities carried out by children, being of great importance its stimulation and optimal development. For this reason, the current research work aims to demonstrate the influence of construction games on the development of the visual-motor coordination of children from 3 to 4 years old of the school of General Basic Education (EGB) Rosa Josefina Burneo de Burneo of the Loja city. It was a study with a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental design, descriptive scope and a population of 17 children, selected through a non-probabilistic sampling. In addition, the following methods were used for its development: analytic-synthetic, inductive and deductive. Likewise, the coordination sub-test of the TEPSI psychomotor development test was used, which allowed the initial evaluation to identify that only 35% of infants were at a normal level in their visual-motor coordination, due to the little control of movements and their coordination in the performance of activities such as cutting, stringing, stacking, coloring and writing. Therefore, a guide of 40 activities based on the construction games was implemented, which showed changes and improvement in the studied area, since after the application of the post test, it was raised to 65% in the level of normality. Concluding thus, that the construction games significantly contribute several areas of development of children; thanks to the use of the same ones, a big amount of the infants managed to acquire greater control of movements with their hands, optimal coordination and precision to make them, thus demonstrating the great influence of construction games in the improvement of the visual-motor coordination.
