| Riassunto: | Mediano (2002) defines agrotourism as "a type of tourism developed in rural areas, with the peculiarity of being carried out on a farm and by farmers who combine their agricultural work with the provision of services" The research entitled "Design of an agro-tourism proposal as a sustainable development alternative for the Macomaco Chinchas farm, Zambi parish, Catamayo canton" had the following general objective: To determine agrotourism as a sustainable development alternative for the Macomaco Chinchas Farm, Zambi parish, Catamayo canton, simultaneously the following specific objectives were carried out: To carry out the agrotourism diagnosis of the Macomaco Chinchas farm; for this purpose four phases were applied: characterization of the territory, inventory of tourism resources, tourism supply and demand, while for the second objective to design agrotourism products for the sustainable development of the Macomaco Chinchas farm; five steps were used: Agro- tourism activities, definition of tourism services to be offered, tourism infrastructure to be implemented, design of agro-tourism products and cost of production. The third and last objective was to develop dissemination strategies for the promotion of agrotourism products of the Macomaco Chinchas farm; the tourism brand and slogan were designed, in addition to establishing the promotional plan that would contribute to the advertising of activities and services to be offered. To achieve the objectives, the methodology of Marvin Blanco (2019) Design and operation of agrotourism products was adapted to the particularities of the farm and the research. It is recognized that the Macomaco Chinchas farm has 8 resources and 2 tourism services, 6 agricultural activities with agro-tourism potential, and the area for the construction of the lacking tourism infrastructure, as well as 2 agro-tourism micro-products were designed based on the elaboration of artisanal products, the diversification of agricultural activities and the rational use of the natural resources that the farm possesses. Thus, agrotourism becomes a development alternative for Macomaco Chinchas that contributes to the economy of the owners but also to the quality of life of the surrounding communities. |
