| Izvleček: | The urinary tract infection (UTI) is the clinical condition that most often 44by bacteria that enter through the urethra and travel into the bladder. To determine the frequency and rate of presentation of this pathology, we performed a study of non-experimental qualitative and quantitative research. We used a statistical method utilizing descriptive comparative cross-sectional research and literature review. The study was conducted with a sample of 82 women from 10 to 49 years old for the duration of eight months. The following results were observed: for the 82 surveyed women 100% had the disease, the most vulnerable age developing UTI was from 21 to 30 years old with 29.26%. The prevalence was 65.60%. From 65.60% of prevalent positive cases to 24.40% performed, a urine culture and anti-biogram test was determined to find the causative agent. The most common etiologic agent was Escherichia coli with 85.00%, which verified that this condition is a constant health problem for women who suffer UTI. We made a health care plan based on the administration of an antibiotic therapy and general measures according to each developed case. In addition to the training plan based on lectures, we developed personal counseling. Key Words: Infection, infection of urinary tract, women from 10 to 49 years |
