| Zusammenfassung: | The characterization of adolescence is given by physical, psychological and social changes where it is difficult to establish chronological limits for this vital period that covers 10 - 19 years. Teen pregnancy is an unexpected event, surprising and in most cases unwanted, at times when pregnancy is known. The objective was to determine integral factors of the occurrence of pregnancy in high school adolescents of the College "Pío Jaramillo Alvarado" evening section. The study was cross-sectional and descriptive, with a sample of 312 students to which a survey was applied. The results were analyzed through the SPSS program (V.24), reaching as a conclusion about the sociodemographic characteristics of the population there is a greater predominance of adolescents aged 15-16 years where the majority reside in the province of Loja, Canton Loja, living with their parents, the same that belong to first, second and third year of high school with 33.3%; in relation to the identification of factors that influence early pregnancy, in the social factor we have insufficient information on adequate sexual education 97.4%, inappropriate use of contraceptive methods 79.2%; within the psychological factor 65.5% are unaware and 24.0% at the interest to be accepted; in the cultural factor 97.4% do not know; the family factor 63.8% with insufficient communication with parents and family dysfunction 36.2% and the socioeconomic factor 75.6% alcohol consumption, these being the predisposing to the occurrence of teenage pregnancy. School authorities were recommended to implement educational programs on appropriate sexuality education that does not leave unknowns in the student population.
