Περίληψη:The purpose of this thesis was to perform a retrospective analysis of the neoplastic pathologies that affected the canine patients, who arrived at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital “César Augusto Guerrero" of the National University of Loja, in the period 2012-2017. This investigation was conducted with the information obtained in the records of the hospital's medical records. The same that was categorized and analyzed taking into account the following variables: age, race, sex, anatomical location, diagnostic presumption and pathology behavior (malignancy and benignity).156 cases were found in patients with neoplastic pathologies which were grouped according to each of the variable studied. In terms of age, geriatric animals were mostly affected with 48.72% (76/156); according to the breed the higher frequencies presented the mestizo canines with 48.09% (75/156), in the pure breed the highest percentage was for the poodle breed with 8.97% (14/156). With regard to sex female patients were most affected with 57% (89/156), the anatomical region with the greatest presence of pathologies was the caudal region with 37.19% (58/156), the diagnosed neoplasms that occurred most frequently was TVT 30.13% (47/156); mastocytoma with 18%(28/156); carcinomas with 17.11% (27/156); papilloma 11% (17/156); liposms 9% (14/156) ; histiocytoma 7.05% (11/156); fibrosarcomas 2.56% (4/156); adenomas 1.92% (3/156); sarcoma 1.28% (2/156); and 0.65% (1/156) for adenocarcinoma, epulis and melanoma. In the different types of neoplasms, the 71% (110/156) were malignant and 29% (46/156) benign. Keywords: retrospective study, canines, neoplastic pathologies, age, skin, Loja.
