Achoimre:In Ecuador, economic growth has been subject to various unstable behaviors, resulting in a 7.8% contraction in 2020, with a GDP of $66,308.00 million. Therefore, the general objective of this study was to examine the effect of exports and economic globalization on economic growth in Ecuador, using statistical and econometric techniques, in order to propose public policy strategies aimed at promoting production. The data used in the study were obtained from the World Bank, Penn World Table, and the KOF Globalization Index, for the period 1970-2021, employing time series cointegration techniques such as Hatemi-J and Maki models, and the Breitung and Candelon causality test. Regarding the results, it was found that exports and economic globalization have a positive relationship with economic growth, and a causal relationship between the study variables was also evidenced. Thus, the implementation of policies and programs aimed at promoting more sustainable economic growth is recommended, with a focus on diversifying the export base and providing support to key export sectors. Additionally, strengthening Ecuador's participation, interconnection, and integration in the global economy is advised.
