Avitourism as specialized tourism activity, "is a very competitive action to level world therefore there is a need to enhance existing in our southern wealth, being necessary the creation of routes with their own characteristics for this segment which is growing, this is one of the primary reasons for making this work called" put in the path value Avituristica Loja-Vilcabamba-Marañón "." This is intended to give a contribution to tourism in the southern region of the Ecuador and private entities that are involved in tourism. Although it is already recognized that Ecuador with more than 1,600 species recorded is one of the most diverse Bird on Earth, which ranks as fourth in the world, and the first in relation to the size of its territory (density of species per km2). The main attraction of this product in the southern region, is not only the number of birds that can be observed, as for example in the Podocarpus national park, that, by itself, only registered more than 600 species, "but also the"quality"of the species that can be found", i.e. those birds that are endemic or restricted rangerare species or species considered spectacular. BirdLife has identified 221 endemic bird areas globally (Endemic Bird Areas or EBA), for its acronym in English based on the presence of two or more species of birds with ranges less than 50,000 km2, and one of those regions privileged in the country, is composed of the provinces of Zamora Chinchipe, Loja and El Oro, in which you can find 7 EBA's 10 which contains the Ecuador. Currently the route is not structured as such, although the Ministry of tourism presented the Guide "the South has wings", in which consist some proposed routes, likewise does not have the infrastructure and services necessary to define it as a tourist product, low bonding of players immersed in the route which prevents the same structuring. The overall objective of the present work is to "Contribute to the development of the bird watching tourism in the Southern Region of the Ecuador through the enhancement of the Loja-Vilcabamba-El Marañon route"; It raised the following specific objectives; develop a participatory tourism in route Avituristica Loja - Vilcabamba - cashew; formulate alternatives and strategies of sustainable tourism management of the route Avituristica Loja - Vilcabamba - Maranon and finally socialize travel route avituristica with the University community especially the career of tourism management and populations participating and involved All processes of scientific research, the same people who were met fully developed in this project, the array of tourist Carla Ricaurte diagnosis, more than scientific, synthetic, analytical, bibliographic and descriptive; methods was used to carry out the first objective direct observation technique was used in the second objective to gather information of the tourist attractions; then the analysis of the local supply, the analysis of tourism demand that there are currently more than the technique before mentioned scientific and bibliographical method was used. Also developed participatory workshops with the communities surrounding the sector in order to present results of the diagnosis of the route, and receive proposals based on their needs and expectations. Finally to comply with the third objective was the socialization ninth module of the career of tourism management students and get that way the contribution of students who are in training and which constitute the human future potential for tourism development in the Southern Region. Within the results is the proposal that contains the design and implementation of the route as such, considerations, deadlines and budgets, analysis of markets, corporate image, slogan. The recommendations must be focused towards the planning of route of bird watching Loja - Vilcabamba - Marañón, having to be continuously reviewed by leaders of local communities, and if possible be advised by an entity or external, so they circulate fresh ideas that maximize the possibilities of extending the benefits of the activity and point to a better future for the inhabitants of the sector, economic, environmental, and sociocultural sustainably.
