The active look by the artists to their most immediate reality, that is, to the processes and forms of the day to day. Consumer objects and traditional sculpture with their urban symbols and materials have gradually penetrated the imagery of the exhibition hall, making it necessary to search for new technical and aesthetic languages, under this context the research and sculptural proposal called The ambulant sellers of the Loja city, as a reason for the elaboration of an expressionist sculptoric proposal, where it is proposed to study the artistic and aesthetic foundations of expressionism to generate a sculptural proposal based on the experimentation of techniques and materials that will be used in the execution of the works. The research is qualitative character, the deductive and inductive method was used, which allowed us to deepen and analyze the thematic of expressionism, in its historical context, through the collection of bibliographic and documentary material. The works are based on the experimentation of materials and artistic techniques that provide the figurative representation of an expressionist character, exploring the conceptual and poetic possibilities of the thematic and showing a reality framed in the local social context such as the itinerant sellers of Loja city
