Tóm tắt:The present research was focused on the development of speech acts through the group work interaction among tenth year students at Escuela de Educación Básica Miguel Riofrío. The scientific, descriptive, analytic-synthetic and statistical methods were used to analyze, explain and synthesize the information obtained in the research to draw the conclusions. To determine students' knowledge and behavior regarding to speech acts, thirty-nine students answered tests and questionnaires before and after the intervention plan. The results showed that students significantly increased their level of knowledge about the use of idioms, apologies, commands, greetings and requests. In conclusion, students improved the language skills using the speech acts correctly and through the group work interaction.
