| Gaia: | A sectoral diagnosis is a systematic process based on the analysis of real data to generate statistical information about the companies within the sector. This approach not only identifies key industry benchmarks but also provides a comprehensive assessment of critical organizational factors, enabling more informed and strategic decision-making. The objective of the study focuses on conducting a sectoral diagnosis of the agriculture, livestock, forestry, and fishing business group in the canton of Loja. The aim is to develop strategic recommendations and guidelines that improve the performance and competitiveness of the sector. The study adopted a quantitative research approach, incorporating both exploratory and descriptive methods, with surveys conducted among company executives. The results facilitated the identification of five critical success factors and a range of performance indicators, including both financial and non-financial aspects, which are essential for assessing development and growth. The results show that companies maintain an average liquidity ratio of $0.85 and manage working capital of $20,009.15. In addition, the sector reports an average daily production of 167 units, according to the monthly production ratio. The results provide a comprehensive understanding of the agriculture, livestock, forestry and fishing sectors in the canton of Loja, enabling organizations to make informed and strategic decisions to improve their performance and competitiveness in the market. In conclusion, the analysis identified the presence of 29 companies operating in the canton of Loja, strategically distributed in its urban parishes. This distribution emphasizes the vital role of the sector and its significant impact on the local economy. |
