Summary:This research was developed in school, "PompilioReinoso Jaramillo" in the city of Loja, its overall objective was for the purpose of contributing to the development of oral language of freshmen of general basic education, through applying a musical tutorial. The type of study is the descriptive field; the sample consisted of 3 teachers and 30 children; the methods used were scientific, hypothetical-deductive, descriptive, analytic-synthetic, statistical; the techniques and instruments used were the survey of teachers and children a questionnaire was applied; the results obtained are found, that 67% are songs that are used as a teaching resource; 93% are motivated, happy, creative by choosing the instrument of choice; 67% of teachers analyze and select the songs; 90% of kids like to be the songs assigned to them; 67% of children place them to put them to music during activities; 67% of teachers say it is necessary to develop a tutorial and 87% of teachers say that music education enables the development of oral language of children. It concludes that teachers use appropriate music education to develop oral language of freshmen General Education Basic songs; and achievements is evident in oral language development of students through music education
