Evaluación de parámetros productivos y reproductivos en cerdos criollos de diferentes biotipos, en la quinta experimental punzara

The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate productive and reproductive parameters in creole pigs of different biotypes, at Quinta Experimental Punzara which belongs to Universidad Nacional de Loja. 60 Creole pigs were used, distributed in four biotypes, the entire population was used for the study. The evaluated variables were productive and reproductive parameters, the descriptive statistical analysis was carried out, the data was tabulated and analyzed using the Excel program. Biotype two presented the best performances in birth weight, weaning weight, final weight, weight gain, feed intake and feed conversion ratio with: 0.90 kg, 7.48 kg, 79.60 kg, 0, 50 Kg, 382.08 kg and 4.80, and the lowest values were biotype four 0.55 kg, 5.90 Kg, 56.20 kg, 337.20 Kg and 6.0 in the corresponding order. Regarding reproductive parameters in the litter size variable, biotype four reached a higher average with 7.0 pups and biotype two, one and three with 6.38, 6 and 5.2 pups, with respect to the post-weaning heat of the biotype. two recorded a shorter time of 12.2 days and biotypes one, three and four 13.75, 15.25 and 28 days, in the interval variable between births biotype two presented a shorter time of 186.2 days and biotypes one, three and four 187.75, 189.25 and 202 days according to the cited order. In conclusion, biotype two of Creole pigs reported the best productive and reproductive parameters that we could recommend for the formation and conservation of genetic nuclei.
