Description
Summary:This proposal discusses about the challenges faced by the Federation of Small Organic Agricultural Exporters of the South of the Ecuadorian Amazon (APEOSAE) to maintain sustainable and equitable financial health in a region heavily influenced by the mining industry. The Federation is dedicated to the harvest, manufacture and sale of organic food locally, nationally and internationally. In the context of mining exploitation that contributes a large part of the region's tax revenues, APEOSAE seeks to improve its financial management to achieve greater economic stability. Mining has had a negative impact on the environment, natural resources and agriculture in the region. The research focuses on the lack of optimization of financial control in APEOSAE and seeks to identify relevant financial indicators and develop a methodology to improve the organization’s financial management. Questions are also raised about how to strengthen financial management capacities in the Federation. It focuses on the implementation of financial indicators to improve APEOSAE’s economic management. It describes the main financial indicators currently used by the company and discusses the results obtained after their implementation. The local and national economic impact of these changes are also highlighted. In summary, this research offers valuable information on how an agriculture-based company has managed to improve its economic performance through the implementation of financial indicators, such as gross profit margin, operating margin, net profit margin, net return on investment, operating return on investment, return on equity, among others, which will be used in the financial analysis. The proposed methodology includes the collection of financial data, the calculation of financial indicators, the creation of a matrix for the monitoring and comparison of indicators, the analysis and interpretation of the results, the communication of the results to the interested parties and the decision-making based on these results. The schedule outlines a work plan to carry out the research and improve the financial management of APEOSAE, emphasizing the importance of regularly updating the financial indicators matrix. In summary, the text addresses how APEOSAE is working to maintain a sustainable economy in a region affected by the mining, focusing on the improvement of its financial management through the identification and monitoring of relevant financial indicators.
