الملخص:The research entitled "PARENTAL STYLES IN THE CONSUMPTION OF PSYCHOACTIVE SUBSTANCES OF THIRD-YEAR STUDENTS OF THE FEBRUARY 27 HIGH SCHOOL AND THE INTERVENTION OF SOCIAL WORKERS", has as a general objective to determine the influence of parental styles on substance use Psychoactive activities of the third year students of the Colegio de Bachillerato 27 de Febrero. In relation to the methodology, the scientific method was used due to its rigor and relevance in the collection of information to obtain the foundation of the theoretical bases, literature review in relation to the categories of analysis parental styles, psychoactive substances and social work. Supported by inductive, deductive, analytical and synthetic methods that made it possible to identify the parenting styles of parents in the third year of high school through the application of the Test technique and observation. Likewise, to diagnose the causes and consequences of the consumption of psychoactive substances in third year high school students through the application of a survey, interview and observation, using the question and questionnaire guide as tools. On the other hand, there is a high rate of consumption of psychoactive substances in students with 76%, caused mainly by curiosity with 59%, by taste 15%, family problems 10%, pressure from friends with 8%, relationship problems 5% and other situations 3%. In addition, the consequences of the consumption of psychoactive substances in third year high school students are due to recurrent problems with the family with 41%, health problems in 18%, problems in school 10%, criminal behavior in 10%, psychological problems 10% and 18% assure that there are no problems or they preferred not to answer. Finally, as an alternative solution and from the perspective of Social Work, we proceeded to design a proposal for social intervention that will strengthen the parenting styles of parents to prevent the use of psychoactive substances in students, to through the implementation of workshops, forums, talks as well as recreational and recreational activities that involve the participation of all stakeholders.
