La violencia intrafamiliar y su repercusión en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de octavo, noveno y décimo curso de la Unidad Educativa Lauro Damerval Ayora N° 1 de la ciudad de Loja. Lineamientos alternativos. Periodo diciembre 2014-2015

Domestic violence is one of the main problems affecting teenagers in their regular development; because family conflicts that end in violence bring consequences, physical, psychological or sexual. This research aims to determine the Domestic Violence impact on academic performance of students of eighth, ninth and tenth course of Educational Unit “Lauro Damerval Ayora No. 1”; investigate the types of domestic violence; specifying the causes that affect academic performance and develop a psycho-educational proposal aimed at improving family relationships that foster a good academic performance of the students. This study used the descriptive method - cross, in which selected a sample size of 90 students of the educational unit "Lauro Damerval Ayora N ° 1", where you applied the instruments, as Cisneros questionnaire for assessing family violence, a survey directed to the students and to obtain qualifications was taken into account records of student grades. According to the data obtained, it was concluded that the type of predominant domestic violence in the homes of students is of psychological type, also one of the causes of the violence are the bad domestic relations, together with negative corrections front of errors made by students and by get low grades, so that domestic violence greatly affects the academic performance of students obtaining a low performance.
