Summary:The theme of our research is the rescue of the traditional games and leisure activities in the school Dr. Luis Emilio Rodríguez; Landangui, Loja. 2014 period. Traditional games from a long time ago still lasting, passed from generation to generation, being transmitted from grandparents to parents and their children and so on, may suffer some changes. The problem addressed in the investigative process was that Dr. Luis Emilio Rodríguez school students do not use traditional games such as recreational activities in their spare time as the Foundation for its development in the period 2013-2014 and the objective was to evaluated in children plan local traditional school games Dr. Luis Emilio Rodríguez of the Landangui district parish Malacatos period 2014 , with prior qualitative research since there is no control group to compare, the methods used were the inductive, deductive, observation and statistical method. The study population were 31 students aged 6 to 11 years and 4 teachers. Implementing an alternative proposal, was obtained as a result to that 41,94 per cent of children if they practice the traditional games, 32.26% do not practice traditional games as part of its recreation and 25.81% only sometimes practice the traditional games for recreation and 100% of the teachers are traditional games but not used as part of the recreation of the children , to evaluate the alternative proposal was found according to the Pearson coefficient is that after the work done this gives a r p = 0.91 is that performance has been is r2p = 0.83, which is equal to 83% of effectiveness. Whereby one could conclude that after applying the alternative over the traditional games tab proposal could conclude that Dr. Luis Emilio Rodríguez school students have no knowledge about the traditional games and implement alternative recreation of traditional games in order to rescue and maintain the traditional childhood games.
