Gaia:Neosporosis is a canine-origin parasitic disease with significant global economic impact, as it can cause abortion in cattle. The objective of this study was to conduct an epidemiological investigation of Neospora Caninum in the livestock herds of the Buenavista parish. A total of 68 blood samples were collected from female cattle over one year of age across 34 farms. These samples were sent to a certified laboratory for serological diagnosis of bovine neosporosis using ELISAc (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay-Competitive). Based on the results, the disease prevalence was calculated, and potential risk factors were evaluated. The seroprevalence of Neospora Caninum in the cattle population of Buenavista parish was 2.94%, with two positive cases detected for disease-specific antibodies. These findings indicate a low frequency of the disease, and no associated risk factors were identified due to its limited occurrence in the studied population.
