Summary:The present investigation is called SYMBOLICAL GAME FOR ENHANCING COEXISTENCE IN THE CLASSROOM OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN OF THE IV CENTENARIO SCHOOL OF THE CITY OF LOJA THROUGHOUT THE PERIOD 2019-2020. The general objective formulated for the study was: To determine how symbolic games will enhance the coexistence in the classroom of elementary school children. During the development of the research, were employed: scientific, inductive, deductive, and descriptive methods; and, the techniques and instruments used were: a survey applied to teachers, and the Goldstein social skills test, administered to children which constituted the total investigated sample. The result after the application of the test determined that 100% of children presented a low level in the acquisition of the alternative skills to aggression, 84% show a low level in the primary, advanced, planning skills and 68% of children have a low level in the skills related to feelings, in front of stress. As a contribution to the solution of the encountered problem through the symbolic game activities were designed and, executed, which significantly enhanced showing that: in the first social skills 95% were at a medium level; in advanced skills 90%; and in skills related to feelings, aggression, stress, and planning 100% were at a medium level; concluding that the symbolic game applied continuously favors the pacific cohabitation within the classroom between companions, and in the acquisition of the social abilities, standards and rules
