Shrnutí:This research paper called Expressive Recreational Resources in Literacy, has as its general objective: To determine the incidence of expressive recreational resources through a didactic guide application for the development of literacy in second grade elementary and middle school students from the Unidad Educativa Fiscomisional “Nuestra Señora del Rosario'', Catamayo-2023; three specific objectives were set in order to reach the general one: the first is to diagnose the levels of students reading and writing in the field of learning and its practice; the second , to design a didactic guide based on expressive playful resources to develop literacy in students; and , the third objective , to evaluate the impact of the teaching guide on the development of literacy in students . To perform this research, it was used a descriptive type of research with a mixed approach, along with a quasi-experimental design. The different methods considered for the investigation’s development were: the descriptive, scientific, analytical, synthetic and statistical; the techniques were the interview and the prior and subsequent evaluation. Also, the instruments used were the interview guide and the pre- and post-evaluative questionnaire. Through non-probability sampling, we used 21 students and three teachers, whose results showed the students enhance regarding literacy skills, it should be emphasized the importance of using recreational resources in children's reading and writing as an effective strategy to promote their learning in a fun and meaningful way within the educational environment, thus achieving the development of their skills in learning literacy.
